The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon (2003)

It’s a story about a brave autistic boy, who loves mathematics. And in this novel, he is going to find who is the murderer of Mrs. Shears’ dog and why they did it. But some people try to stop him from finding out the truth and this is why this story is very exciting.

!! SPOILER ALERT!! But in fact, there is a second mystery to solve. The truth about his mother and why his father has lied to him. Why did his father hide the letters that his mum sent to him?

I found his way of expressing himself very easy to understand and I also liked when Christopher talks about his habits and makes lists but didn’t like it when he talked about maths and calculations… The way he takes care of animals is really cute like when he hugs Mrs.Shears’ dog and when he teaches adults how to take care of his rat.

I recommend this book for people who want to start reading English like me but especially for people who know maths, they will understand more than me.
